The Crow

The constellation of the Crow, which is located near the Crater/Cup, recalls the shape of a sail. It represents the daughter of Phlegyas, king of the Lapiths, loved by Apollo. According to Epidaurus, she was actually called Egla, nicknamed Koronis, meaning the "crow".

According to a different myth, Coronis was the daughter of Coronaeus, King of Phocis, who was turned into a crow by Athena, to help her escape the lusts of Poseidon.
