Riding the wave


The origin of the constellation is connected to the myth of Arion and to the constellation of the lyra.

Its two major stars are called Sualocin and Rotanev,. I these names are read to the contrary, they result in Nicolaus Venator, which is the Latinized name of Nicholas Hunter (1770-1841), pupil and assistant of Giuseppe Piazzi of the Palermo Astronomical Observatory, and from 1826 Director of the same.
