The statue is a polychrome decorated in warm colors, and is in one piece, with cutwater decorated with flowers and leaves on a dark background.
You may have belonged to a barque Rosa of Italy, active in the '70s, of 569 gross tonnage which agrees well with the size of the object. If this attribution is correct, the female subject could be allegorically Italy, with the tiara and bracelets - as broken chains - which may allude to the unit recently captured.
