Portable theodolite

Portable theodolite
Portable theodolite owned by the Hydrographic Institute of the Navy. It is used to make measurements of horizontal angles between a reference point and the point of interest, or to determine the height of a star on the horizon.
The instrument consists essentially of two rings, one horizontal and one vertical, that allow two different readings, after having collimated with the telescope the point or the star to be determined.
It includes toroidal spirit levels, that allow to obtain the perfect levelness of the instrument.
